I then chose to advocate for ending child sex trafficking online in the Philippines. As someone who lived in the Philippines for many years and am half-Filipino the topic is one that requires sensitivity without ignoring the abhorrent reality.
I remember watching a documentary on online child sexual exploitation in the Philippines years ago and how devastating the actuality of the situation was.
I feel it is important to recognise that my efforts in raising awareness on this issue uses photos of children which some may recognise as another layer of exploitation; which is not my intention.
